The Baron’s Room
This totally unique bedroom is located on the 2nd floor in the original tower. It features a high stone vaulted ceiling, a 5' Four Poster bed and is tastefully decorated with antique furniture. The windows are original cut stone arrow slits with a raised platform for an archer to launch arrows during an attack.
The castle was built by Baron Richard Nugent during the reign of King Henry VIII and was passed on to his grandson, who became known as “The Black Baron”.
The size of the room is approximately 20' x 11'.
