    Ross Castle can be booked for exclusive hire. The castle is entirely yours for the duration of your stay: 7 bedrooms sleeping up to 14 guests, with three additional beds available at a supplementary charge. The Great Room is the heart of the Castle, perfect for guests to gather together over looking the shores of Lough Sheelin.

    Three further properties sit within the castle grounds and can be added to your booking if needed: Castle Cottage, Tea Rose Cottage, and Quarry House.

    What Is Included

    Enjoy exclusive use of Ross Castle from arrival to departure, giving you and your guests complete privacy throughout your stay.

    Gather around the fire-lit banquet tables in our spacious dining room, designed for long, memorable meals together. Afterwards, retire to the Great Room — a relaxed entertaining space complete with its own bar, where guests can play board games or foosball, enjoy a drink by the fire, or arrange an evening of traditional Irish music with our local musicians.

    Guests have direct access to Lough Sheelin, a fully equipped kitchen, complimentary private parking and fast broadband throughout the Castle.

    For an even more relaxing stay, private catering is available from our resident chef, allowing you to enjoy everything from breakfast to a full celebratory dinner without leaving the Castle.

    What It Costs

    From EUR 143 per person for a one night stay, EUR 240 per person for a weekend, or EUR 206 per person for a two night midweek stay.

    For a full group, that is a private castle on a lough for less than the cost of a city hotel room per night.

    Book all four properties and the estate is yours alone, with no other guests. Up to 31 guests and 11 bathrooms across the Castle, both cottages, and Quarry House, each group with its own space while everyone gathers in the castle. All four properties sit along the laneway to the castle, within easy walking distance of each other. Ideal for family reunions, boutique weddings, and larger group stays.

    Yes. The main castle can be booked exclusively on its own, sleeping up to 14 guests in 7 bedrooms. The cottages and Quarry House remain available for other guests unless added to your booking.
